Most understand Tantra as just a guide to sexual techniques without considering its mental background.

Tantra is a Yoga of the realization , that one participates in life as far as possible with all feelings. It contrasts with other Yoga teachings , aimed at self-denial and the eradication of sensual experiences.

Likewise, many worldviews strictly separate mind and body. They split sexuality as well as the joy of the senses. According to the Tantric view, however, everything is connected with everything in the greatest love and wisdom. Tantrism is based on the unity of all existence. Its roots lie in Hinduism and Tibetan Buddhism. Its aim is to unite with the absolute and the recognition of the highest reality. Thus, as human beings, we are already perfect. Therefore we can feel a lot of desire for senses and and should only recognize this. It needs no big secrets to recognize this. The emergence of Tantra massage

The Indian visionary, philosopher and spiritual teacher Chandra Mohan Jain (Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh), 1931 – 1990, later called Osho, introduced in the late 1970s Tantra again made known to the West. In his teachings he combines spirituality with sexuality. We can use the sensuality of our body as a tool to find the spiritual path to inner cognition. So we can approach the immediate experience of the divine , the super-consciousness. His ideas are a practical philosophy of life with which one can finally get beyond the ordinary .

He said, the basic energy of sexuality was devine. Therefore, sexual feelings should not be suppressed , but gratefully accepted. Sexual activity is seen in Tantrism as an important life function that can be lived with full joy. His thoughts also go back to the origins of today's Tantra movement , also called Neo-Tantra, as well the massage.

In Berlin, Andro (Andreas Rothe) 1981 founded the first European Tantra massage school. Most institutes build on his knowledge.
